Welcome to the Summer Music Theater Immersion Experience!

You might call it boot camp for Broadway.  It's going to be intense.  It's going to be exhilarating.  And it's going to be the best investment you ever make in your future as a performing artist!  Taught by a faculty of distinguished industry professionals and guest musical theater artists, the Summer Music Theater Immersion Experience provides 3 weeks of intense comprehensive musical theater training in a small group with individualized attention.

Past summers' participants took Master Classes in voice, acting, and dance from some of Broadway's greatest artists, including these Tony Award, Drama Desk Award, and Outer Critics Circle Award winners:

Participants also attend three Broadway musicals and have "talk backs" with the casts.  Past summers' musicals included Spring Awakening, Company, Sweeney Todd, The Light in the Piazza, Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera, and The Drowsy Chaperone.  There is also the opportunity to meet directors, producers, and major casting agents, such as Bernard Telsey (The Color Purple, Rent, Hairspray, Wicked, In The Heights, South Pacific) who individually coach, advise, and prepare you for the audition process.

Now in our third year, SWEAT 2009 promises to be our best one yet!  We are very excited to announce that Tony award winner Denis O'Hare (Take Me Out, Assassins, Sweet Charity, Cabaret, Inherit the Wind) will be returning as one of our acting teachers!  And the amazing Dr. Don Greene will be back for the third year in a row to conduct his life-changing Performance Mastery Training.

Space is limited. You must be a high school graduate or age 18 by June 15, 2009 to enroll.
